Maud: Mother of Edith and Ari, illustrator, she imagined Herbes Hautes and brought all her wonderful education ideas to life! She also offers creative workshops. She loves diving into unexpected adventures and imagining all kinds of experiences to live and share—picking up her camera again and growing a “garden of colors” to create inks and dyes.
Aurélie:
Mother of Célestine and Félix, passionate about meaningful projects and a facilitator in collective intelligence, she is actively involved in coordinating les Herbes Hautes. She creates networks and spaces for sharing and gatherings in the grass… She loves to co-created together, inspired by the group’s desires and imagination!
Alexis: One of the founders of the ecolieu, a psychologist and naturally curious. He loves to lead workshops, with a special interest in philosophy and personal development (mindfulness, sharing circles, etc.), as well as hands-on activities in the woods, reading, drawing, and even some computer-based programs.
Benjamin: More than happy to share what he has learned in his profession: creating animated films in CGI! A bit geeky all around, he also knows a bit of programming, how to use a 3D printer, make “boom-tchac” music with USB blip-blups, and bakes lots of sourdough bread.
Parents are an integral part of the project, nurturing it through their presence—whether as facilitators or by building shelves and sandboxes. All members of the community can take part in decision-making and contribute to shaping Les Herbes Hautes together. Other contributors, the facilitators, enrich this fertile ground with their passions and knowledge.
Marine : A trained teacher and educational psychologist, Marine found her way to Les Herbes Hautes after first exploring educational research, primary and secondary teaching, and adult education. She has worked as a private tutor and supported children in home education (homeschooling) for four years.
Present at Les Herbes Hautes two to three days a week as a facilitator, she also dedicates time to her own homeschooling project and offers workshops and retreats focused on nature and wellbeing. Respect for the environment, children’s wellbeing, and play are at the heart of her approach.
